I remember when my kids were little some of our favorite books to study together were science/theology books. These were books that would share scientific reasons that dinosaurs were gone, or how a cell develops, or even the start of the universe. The best ones also used the science to point towards creation and a creator.  So many theories brought about by scientists either point to a creator, or they get disproven if they don't. The documentary The Story of Everything is like a grown up version of those books we used to study. Grown up in the fact that the science is more complex, but it is appropriate for all ages.  We enjoyed watching The Story of Everything. I really love that they started with the start of the universe, but also talked about human cells and DNA. I will admit that the start of this documentary is a little dry and scientific, and also a little above my understanding.  But the speakers all give great examples of scientists throughout the ages who either changed their minds on their own theories, or sometime those theories were proven wrong. The second half really grabbed my attention, and you could feel the shift from purely scientific though to more of a theistic take on the evidence.

We recently attended a graduation and the kids turned around after walking in and recited The Lord's Prayer. I was happily surprised since this was a public school. I found this series to be so helpful and I learned a lot. I always knew that it was an example of how to pray told by Jesus during the Temple on the Mount sermon, but there is so much more to learn. Angel is distributing Biblical content that goes deeper. The Sacred Thread combines cinematic storytelling, Biblical scholarship, historical context, and spiritual insight in a way that feels engaging, accessible, and emotionally meaningful. I really loved that they traveled to historic sites, spoke with scholars, and gave real world examples. It was really immersive and interesting.

This series helps viewers experience Scripture in a richer and more personal way. It’s thoughtful, visually compelling, and spiritually grounding without feeling academic or overwhelming. This was a huge plus for me. I know a few people who are theologians but I am not one, so it was easy to understand without talking down to me, Angel is doing something many platforms have stopped doing. They are telling stories with depth, meaning, and purpose. The Sacred Thread is not loud or cynical entertainment. It is thoughtful storytelling that encourages reflection, gratitude, and connection. This is content designed to leave audiences better after watching.

This is a faith based film based on some true stories, that the directors have some personal connection to. Angel is doing what many studios have stopped doing. They are telling stories with emotional depth, hope, purpose, and heart. Just One More is not cynical entertainment. It is a film that leave

s audiences encouraged, reflective, and inspired. This is high-quality storytelling with something meaningful to say.  Watching this film isn't easy but would be a great conversation starter for both families and friends. I especially connected to an exchange in the movie where they make it clear that following Jesus won't instantly make your whole life easier. You will still go through trials and struggles, but then at least you won't be alone. He will always be with you. The movie isn't just fluff but truth and I really appreciated that.

This is a beautiful Bible and in one of the classic versions using the New King James Version. The font is easy on the eyes and I especially love the blue blocks with devotions on how peace is shown through that part of the Bible. You were made for peace—and to be a peacemaker. The story of the Bible is the story of peace—peace with God and with one another. But peace isn’t simply a feeling of calm
or ease. It is a way of experiencing life as we were always meant to in relationship with our Creator and with each other. We can recover a completeness that was once lost but is restored in the gospel.  This is a Bible I would see myself opening regularly. I had a lot of fun watching this movie. This is so appropriate for fall since it centers around a pumpkin growing contest. There are so many recognizable actors in this movie. It was fun picking them all out and figuring out where I had seen them before. But best of all were the kids. They are so delightful and fun.  From curmudgeonly farmers to over-the-top rivals, every character feels like they’ve stepped out of a cozy, autumnal fairy tale. Charlie’s pumpkin “Peter” isn’t the only thing full of personality, the whole town bursts with quirky charm. This movie is full of laughs and even more full of heart. The whole family will enjoy this movie. At the heart of GROW is the touching bond between a prickly aunt and her spirited niece. Happy almost Fall. I love the start of new seasons because it can inspire to start or renew habits. I want to start digging a little deeper in my Bible study. Plus inside the font is easy to read and uses black with some blue highlights.  The blue stands out nicely without being too much.

The NKJV is a classic version that I reference often. I especially love the study notes and Christ Connection notes throughout the Bible. They really add to comprehension and understanding. Few preachers in the nineteenth century rivaled Alexander Maclaren. Called the “Prince of Expositors,"  Maclaren was considered one of the best preachers of his era, acclaimed for offering remarkable biblical insights in a poetic style.

I am always on the hunt for great family films. I especially love family films that are faith based and help to spread the Good news. Light of the World definitely fits this category. I really enjoyed this film. If you are a fan of the 1990s golden era of 2D, hand-drawn animation, you will love this movie. The animation is beautiful and reminds me of childhood.  It tells the history of Jesus' time on earth in a new refreshing way, through the eyes of a child. I think this will make it even more relatable to kids of all ages. It is a great way to share the Gospel with your family and friends and start some wonderful conversations. This show had me at musical.  I am a sucker for a good musical. Even better though it is a faith filled family friendly musical. This show is fun, it has catchy music and talented people filling the scenes. It also handles some tough topics and shows people going through real life struggles. The Series offers a tender space for those burdened by doubt and pain to explore the possibility of hope and the power of love. I love how the light moments and heavy moments are handled.  This show is a great inspiration and something I would watch with my entire family. Start watching for the Infectious Music & Dance, stay for the clear presentation of the Gospel.  There are some familiar faces and so many great newcomers. I am so impressed by the quality. Faith based shows/movies have come a long way.   The Series is a passionate story about a young man’s individual struggle to reconcile faith with his traumatic past.  I thoroughly enjoyed this show and I know you will too!

As summer is coming to an end I love to find great ways to entertain our family. One of our favorite things to do together is have a movie night. I am always on the hunt for great family movies. We want something entertaining yet appropriate for the whole family. It is an added bonus if it teaches a great lesson along the way. Jeremy Avery is vying for a college golf scholarship awarded to the winner of the State Championship, but his preparation and game are affected by family pressures and having to take care of his younger autistic brother, Ethan. These challenges, along with the pressure of carrying his team to State against an opponent who will do anything to win, leads Jeremy on a journey of discovery both internal and of his brother’s savant-like gifts, that if embraced can create an unstoppable pair. On the brink of his greatest victory, Jeremy is forced to make a life-altering decision, finally realizing his own personal dreams or standing by his brother.  

I love a movie that has multiple aspects to it and starts great conversations. First off this is a sports movie, and I am a sucker for a great competition. It is also a movie about Faith, family, struggle, and loss. It sounds heavy, and has some moments, but is also light hearted and fun. I thoroughly enjoyed the golfing, even though it's not my favorite sport. I especially enjoyed the relationships between characters, and their relationships with God. The film really did a good job showing how people should treat each other, in several different situations. It did have it's sad moments, and I did fight back a few tears. It also showed great moments that I cheered. This is a great family movie that the whole family will enjoy.

This movie is incredibly inspiring. It is a reminder that we will face trials and tribulations but that is when God works His best for us. Miracles show His love for us, even though we don't deserve it. This is a powerful movie to share with loved ones. I would hesitate with the little ones because there are some serious and dark themes. It discusses miracles and why suffering exists. It would be a great movie to share with believers and unbelievers alike. This is a powerful film that shows why we need a Savior and also why both suffering and miracles exist. Testimonies from real people who went through extraordinary things. Some have happy endings and some are breaking, but all are for the Glory of God. 

The director gives a quick testimony after the film and shares the Gospel Message.

Eric Swithin is the Creator, Director, Executive Producer, Interviewed Expert in the movie and author of the book that it is based on. Eric received his BA from Rice University and is pursuing his Doctorate in Apologetics, Discipleship, and Spiritual Formation at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. Author of the book Show Me Your Glory, Eric loves how Jesus used stories to teach His disciples and wants to do the same!

I was so looking forward to this film.  I am a big fan of Marketing company and the film studio and have enjoyed several of their recent films, a few we have even reviewed. I am also a hug Zachary Levi fan and love seeing him stretch himself in these deeper roles. (Although I will always be a die hard Chuck fan)  The movie did not disappoint. An amazing cast. The kid who plays Austin is amazing. All of the supporting cast is great, enjoyed seeing Patricia Heaton!  As always Zachary Levi had a great performance.  His character isn't always terribly likeable, so this was a stretch for him.  His character is real, raw, and someone who is a parent of a child with special needs.  This is a great family movie but does have some grown up themes so I would recommend tweens on up. It is a great way to start some discussions with those kiddos. You definitely want to have some tissues handy while watching!
